Frankie Hatton
Frankie is the firm’s Media training and I.T. consultant. He looks after the website, social media and write all our blogs and edits the news. He also has an solid interest in Blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Joining the Royal Air Force at 16 Frankie served 28 years for Her Majesty. In that time he worked as a Weapons engineer served on various systems and aircraft as well as 6 years as an RAF Recruitment Officer. He worked on aircraft such as Hunter, Harrier, Jaguar, Buccaneer with a final stint as head of the Tornado Weapons Training School with involvement in assimilating some of the then top secret weapons tech into Tornado operations.
In the mid 90’s he volunteered at Radio Hillingdon (Hospital Radio) in Middlesex getting his first taste of “on air” after a lifelong desire to work in radio. His last posting to Gibraltar he was head of Aircraft Weapons and Engineering including the Bomb Disposal Unit. In Gibraltar he also volunteered at British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) Radio. On retiring from the RAF in 2005 media, BFBS radio, writing, presenting and training became his full time work. He has written for Globe Magazine, Gibraltar Magazine, the Gibraltar Chronicle as well countless blogs and articles. He has done voice over work for the Gibraltar Broadcasting Corporation, and TV presentation work. He has filmed/edited and presented news stories for BFBS Television, been on countless radio breakfast shows as an interviewee and opinionator (BBC radio 4, BBC radio Tees) and launched an independent radio station (Bay FM) in Spain. His presentation work ranges from local charity events to Fashion shows in Marbella and London as well as pitch side announcements for the Gibraltar Football Association. His most recent televised appearance was the Europsport Snooker Open final here in Gibraltar in 2017.
He founded the children’s charity “Wobbles” in 2010 which aids children in Gibraltar and currently teaches Shotokan karate and works in I.T. blogging, media training and website design/management.
